Earn Rewards by Searching the Web

In my post,   "This is How I Earn RewardsOnline at Mypoints",    I mentioned that I earn rewards by searching the web at the mypoints website. Another rewards site where I earn rewards by searching the web is swagbucks.  I have been a member of swagbucks since July 30, 2010.

I don’t get swagbucks for every single search that I do, rather it is a random thing.  While going to other websites of my choosing, by typing the website that I chose/choose to go to into the search box at that rewards site,  every now and then a window will pop up showing the number of rewards or swagbucks earned for doing that search.  This usually happens 2 or 3 times while  going through a list of about a dozen websites that I usually go to anyway almost daily. Sometimes I go through my list (all in one sitting) two different times throughout the day.

Friday is my favorite day for doing searches on swagbucks because every Friday is Mega Swag Bucks Day, which means it is possible to earn any amount up to 1000 swagbucks for doing a search.  It’s not a guarantee, but although I have never earned that many swagbucks for a single search, it is possible to earn some big swagbucks while doing searches on Friday.  I think the largest reward that I have earned was about 50 swagbucks for a single search.

If you notice on the snippets on the post:  "This is what I do" , there is a picture of a man on one of them and a picture of a woman on the other three snippets.  Well on that rewards site, the man is called swag guy and the woman is called swag gal.  Most of the time when I earn rewards on that site through searching the web, the window that pops up showing the amount of swagbucks earned for the search I just did, will have a picture of either the swag guy or the swag gal.
Sometimes there will be windows that pop up showing the amount earned for the last search done, and the picture on the window will look different, and won’t have the same pictures as they usually have.  When this happens, then it’s most likely a collectors’ bill (I’ll add some snippets to show you what a few collectors’ bills have looked like in the past).
About 4 to 6 times yearly swag bucks will offer a bonus amount of swagbucks if you collect all the collectors’ bills (usually 6 or so) that they have out during a certain time period, usually about a week or so.

Here is a snippet showing the bonus that I earned for collecting all the collectors’ bills during a time period they were out.

Following are some snippets of the collectors’ bills that have popped up in a window during my searches.

This is a collectors’ bill earned during thanksgiving time or Fall season of 2011.

Here is another collectors’ bill earned during thanksgiving time or Fall season of 2011.

This is a collectors’ bill earned during valentines time 2012.

Here is another collectors’ bill earned during valentines time 2012.

There are usually about six different collector bills to collect in about a week or so. And if I collect each collector’s bill of the complete collection then I earn some bonus swagbucks, which are added to my account.
Would you like to try swagbucks?  You can earn rewards and redeem them to purchase any of several gift cards, and/or products.  There’s lots of stuff to do in order to earn rewards.  You can be my referral if you want.  Here is the referral link:  http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/kaay81

Note: It is always a good idea to read the rules and instructions of any rewards site.  The last time that I read the swagbucks rules was several months ago and, at that time anybody the age of 13 years or older and living the U.S.A. or Canada could become a member.

This is what I do

On the swagbucks rewards site.

I usually earn rewards by searching the web, watching SBTV (swagbucks TV), playing some cool cool games, swag codes and by logging in from the swagbucks tool bar once daily (I earn 1 swag buck), and also by participating in the daily poll (1 swagbuck is earned), along with the 50 swagbucks that comes in the email every year as a birthday gift from them.  There are other ways to earn rewards on that site as well.
I have a list of about a couple dozen websites where I usually go to almost daily.  When I am ready to go to those websites, I open my Firefox browser and bring up the rewards site and log in. Then after doing the daily poll, I go to the usual websites where I always visit anyway, and I do this by typing those sites into the search box at the rewards site.
I usually receive rewards two or three times while doing searches.  I do this early in the morning and sometimes again in the evening and get rewards both times that I go through my search list.
Each time that I get rewards for the searches it is a different amount of swagbucks.  Sometimes I get 7, and sometimes 11, sometimes 26 and a few times I got 50.
Each time I earn a reward then a window pops up showing the amount of rewards I have earned.
Here is a snippet of what that window looks like.

This shows that I earned 27 swagbucks for doing a search.

I earned this from searching for Google in the search bar on that rewards website.

I earned 22 swagbucks after searching msn in their search bar. Notice that I didn’t even make it all the way to the msn website when the window popped up showing me that I earned 22 swagbucks.

Here is another one.
Here is a post that shows what a few other people have said about swagbucks.
In all the posts on my blog I only show you the ways that I earn rewards, and there’s lots of stuff to do in order to earn rewards at those rewards sites that I don’t take advantage of. If you go to their website, then you could see all the ways to earn rewards.
Have you tried swagbucks?  I earn most of my swagbucks by searching the web and watching videos on SBTV (swag bucks TV), but there are several ways to earn rewards.  You can be my referral if you want.  Here is the referral link:  http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/kaay81

I noticed number 62. Click 5 dozen MyPoints emails to get 300 MyPoints.

Have you tried swagbucks? You can earn digital dollars and redeem them to purchase any of several gift cards, and/or products. I earn most of my swagbucks by searching the web, but there are several ways to earn those digital dollars.

I’m a big fan of swagbucks. I’ve got a nice big pile of gift cards to Amazon thanks to them. And with all my research, I rack ‘em up pretty quickly!

Strange I just now saw this, Yes I do swagbucks. It's a lot like mypoints, since I have more than one browser I browse on one with swagbucks and on the other with mypoints. That way I double up on my earnings quickly.

I actually joined a couple months ago. Thanks, though. I'm totally loving it! I think I make more on that than all the others combined.

I added this post to show you what a few other people think about the rewards site, and that several other people chose/choose to earn rewards at rewards sites as well.

A Kool way that I Earn Gift Cards

I have earned several amazon.com gift cards since 2010 from the swagbucks website, where I earn them by doing searches from their website, playing cool cool games on that same site, watching some kool kool videos on that same site, and there are other ways to earn swagbucks, as well, which I will tell you about in another post.  Here are a few that I have earned.
These gift cards never expire. I usually use mine to purchase Christmas gifts.  I’ll show you where you can find this information about amazon gift cards Go to the amazon web site http://www.amazon.com/ , and sign in, then click on gift cards.

Then scroll down near the bottom of the page until you see the orange heading that says Amazon.com Gift Cards. And look at the first sentence in the second paragraph. It says, “Amazon.com Gift Cards are redeemable toward millions of items at Amazon.com and never, ever expire”, and there is also other good information about their gift cards there as well.
One way that I get amazon gift cards is by redeeming swagbucks that I have earned, which are found in the swag store on the swagbucks web site.  After I order those gift cards then I watch my email for the gift card claim code number that they send to me.
Then I go to the amazon site and sign in, then click on the top right corner area where it says, “hello, (my name), Your Account”.  Then I click on the first option which says, “Your account”.  Then look at the third section where it says, “Payment” then under gift cards, I click on the second option where it says, “Apply a Gift Card to Your Account”.  Then enter my gift card claim code number in the box next to where it says, “Enter a Gift Card Claim Code”. Then I click on the yellow button that says, “apply to your account”.  After that, click on the area where it says, “View Gift Card Balance”, and then I see that it has been immediately added to my gift card balance.

Swagbucks are digital dollars that you can earn, and then redeem for anything you want from the swag store.  I usually choose to order amazon.com gift cards, but there are several other products in the swag store that you can order with swagbucks as well.

I have shown pictures of some of the items that I have ordered with gift cards that I have purchased with my swag bucks, and you can see a receipt that shows that I didn’t pay any out-of-pocket money for products that I purchased from amazon.  And I would also like to mention that amazon has sooo many cool things to buy.

Receipt for Products I Purchased with Amazon Gift Cards

I have purchased several items from amazon.com without paying any out -of -pocket money, but with gift cards that I have received by redeeming my rewards for those gift cards.

Here is a copy of a statement/receipt that came with one of my orders from amazon.  I bought these items to give as gifts at a baby shower.
I paid for this whole order with gift cards that I had earned from rewards sites.
If you look at the bottom right corner of this statement/receipt, you’ll notice that it says that amazon gift cards never expire.  I think that is really really kool.  And I didn’t even have to pay shipping cost.  That was even covered with my gift cards.
Here is a link to a post where I have included pictures of other products that I purchased with gift cards that I earned at rewards sites.

This is How I Earn Rewards Online at Mypoints

One way that I earn rewards is through a rewards site called mypoints.

The first thing I did after I signed up or registered for an account was to complete my profile status, which looks like a group of small survey type forms, and have the following titles: Personal, interests, ecommerce, household, employment, technology, shopping, health, automotive, personal finance, travel and preferences.   You get some points for completing those, and it also helps them know what they should email to you.

Then they start sending emails to the email address that you provided them upon registration. The email from mypoints.com usually says, “My Points Bonus Mail” or My points survey mail, and they send a several different types of email.

Whenever I open my email from them, I usually look for a few types of email that I like to do, and that is: an offer to do a survey if I qualify, manufacturers coupons that you can print then after you use them at the store you will have some points added to your account, and the emails that at the very bottom of the page has a free 5 points if you click on the button that says give me points.  I’ll explain them to you.

My points survey mail:  they always say take a survey and earn up to __ points, with a number in the blank, sometimes its 50, 75 or whatever they offer to take that survey if you qualify.

After I open that email, and look about half way down the page then I can see the date of when this point opportunity expires, and as long as it has not expired yet then I click on the button where it says Take a Survey Now, and enter some of the information that they use in order to see if I qualify to take that survey, and if I don’t qualify for that survey then I still get 10 points credited to my account at the mypoints website.

My points newsletters:  these are the ones that come with manufactures coupons in them, and as long as they have not expired, then you can print which ever coupons that you want to use and then after you use them to purchase the item at the store, then sometime after that you will have some points credited to your my points account.

I think this is really really a bargain because besides saving money on your purchase with the coupon, you even get points credited to your mypoints account.

My points bonus mail:  After I open these emails, I look at the top of the page to see if it is the one that says, “Read this Bonus Mail and visit the partner site. Receive 5 Points.  Then I scroll to the bottom of that page and click on the orange rectangular button that says, Get Points.  Then another window opens up to the partner site, and then I close it  and click on the my account button back at the my points site, and I can see instantly that 5 points have been credited to my account.

There are other emails from my points that come in my email as well, but those are the ones that I like the most.

I have been a member of my points since 2008, and I earn points through the emails that they email to me.  This year (2012) they added a new way to earn points, and that is by doing searches through their search engine on their website.  So now I make sure that I do 41 searches monthly through their search engine.

Some Products I have purchased with Rewards

I usually redeem my rewards for amazon gift cards, and then I purchase products from amazon.  Most of the items that I have ordered from amazon have been things that I’ve given away as gifts.

I ordered the following makeup kit from amazon and gave it to one of my teen grand-daughter as a Christmas gift last year.  She really likes it a lot, and her friends like it too.

I ordered the following VTech camera for another one of my younger grand-daughters as a Christmas present last year, and she really likes it a lot.

Below are a few pictures of products that I purchased from amazon and gave to my grand-daughter at her baby shower.  She had a boy.

And this:

And there’s more too!  I’ll add a few more pictures in another post.
